December 5, 2008 USS Edson may go to the Saginaw Valley Naval Ship Museum (SVNSM). NAVSEA has determined that the Saginaw Valley Naval Ship Museum's application for the USS Edson DD-946 has met their requirements. We are patiently waiting for the Environmental Assessment approval by NAVSEA before the recommendation will be forwarded to the Secretary of the Navy for decision and 30-day Congressional Notification.
